Our Story

MOCK ONE Northwest
It all started back in late Spring, 2020. As the Pandemic was starting to impact the world employees were all being directed to work from home. Children were being required to take school classes from their homes.

As with many families, K.C., Mason, Owen, Carson and Amy were stuck in their home with little social interaction in person and found themselves bored many days. K.C. always had a passion for business (Worked for Yahoo Small Business for 15 years) and teaching Mason, Owen and Carson. As a Family they started to have interest in go karts and small motorcycles. Around that same time, Owen and Carson were out on a walk with Amy, when they came across a working lawnmower with a free sign on it at the end of a driveway. So here they came walking up the the driveway to their home while pushing a lawnmower. That started the idea of picking up items for free, working on them together as a Family and learning to find these items a new home.
One afternoon shortly after, K.C. decided to throw together a power point presentation of something the Family could start, called MOCK ONE. It was somewhat serious but also kinda of a funny approach to getting the kids interested.

The acronym stands for Mason, Owen, Carson, K.C. and Openly Noisy Evenings.
The focus at the time was lawnmowers, go karts, quads, mini motorcycles and other fun toys. The small amount of money they were planning to make was going to buy them toys to play on and have fun during the summer months. It became a hobby for the Family and something we all had passion and fun exploring.
As time went on the schools opened back up, K.C. went back to work and they slowly lost interest and having fun. The shininess was wearing off.
After a few years of rarely exploring picking up free things, they started to attach themselves to the passion of bicycles. Discovering they could take all the concepts they had learned in the earlier years of their hobby of motorized toys to bikes and make something special.
So in mid 2024, they opened a business called MOCK ONE Northwest, Family owned and operated.
